DBWorks R11 for SolidWorks® assures the highest level of integration and full usage of SolidWorks® functionality and preservation of design intent.  Switch between you SolidWorks® document and DBWorks' Browser with the standard Ctrl-Tab keys.  Designers continue their design process with the benefit of file control and team collaboration.  As designs grow in size and complexity, the knowledge of design information shared among the enterprise becomes an important factor in reducing time to market and elimination of unnecessary rework.  DBWorks is a SolidWorks® Gold Partner certified product 100% compatible with all SolidWorks® releases.

DBWorks R11 optimized Project Tree graphical User Interface provides a hierarchical view and search capabilities on your projects and documents. The Project Tree can show any database field as a column keeping the most valuable information always visible, while specific icons highlight standard components. DBWorks R11 offers the most comprehensive document management user interface.

Flexible, Scalable & customizable

DBWorks open architecture is the foundation to build on as your document management needs grow. Industry standard MDB, MSDE/SQL Server and Oracle, are the database platforms supported. Database schema design, BOM customization, Material Wizard, Category Maker, User Interface layout, Excel outputs, VBScript programming and extensive API are just a few titles of the tools available for fine tuning and implementing DBWorks. The optional DBWorks Workflow and DBWorks Web Client modules are available as control and collaboration needs grow.

Secure document revisions

DBWorks protects your design files with standard OS file security offering the highest performance in checkin/checkout operations. Activate, view and compare previous revisions as needed, including BOM's.

Collaborative team work

DBWorks provides control of engineering data and helps improve the performance of engineering activities. The DBWorks database can share product data among the designers at the LAN level, through a Geographically Distributed Site Environment or with the DBWorks Briefcase for offline data exchange. Notifications of document changes are sent automatically to designers working on referencing documents. The DBWorks Web Client enables connecting to your DBWorks database with standard internet browsers, giving you access to your product data from anywhere in the world.

Integration at it's Best

The DBWorks Feature Manager includes the Full Text Search tool, giving access to DBWorks database for easy search and placement of assembly or drawing components.

DBWorks Enterprise Optional Modules

DBWorks Enterprise supports optional modules for enterprise collaboration and security. DBWorks R11 User Rights Manager implements Class Documents, giving each individual document specific rights. Together with WorkFlow, you have an audit trail, critical for regulatory compliance with ISO 9001 and FDA regulations, such as Rule 21 CFR Part 11.

DBWorks Standalone versions

DBWorks Standalone provides non-SolidWorks users (purchasing department, shop floor etc.) a cost effective access to the DBWorks database. The users can participate in the design process, view documents and prepare BOMs or other output needed for their department.
